Rope Rubbing Social Play

On 29 September 2014, during a dolphin-watching trip at Posorja, some members of a group of bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) were observed rubbing their bodies repeatedly along floating ropes. When the subgroup was approached, it seemed that a dolphin was entangled because the animal was whirling its body with a rope close to the surface. But, it soon became clear that it was not tangled.
